A COMMUNITY OF LEADERS.
Since 1992, more than 550 Texas A&M University students have received the prestigious Brown Foundation Scholarship. Created by the Craig and Galen Brown Foundation and awarded in partnership with Texas A&M and the Texas A&M Foundation, the scholarship provides a four-year undergraduate award to high-achieving, well-rounded high school students who were recognized as National Merit finalists and who major in only engineering, science, and business. In addition, the Brown Foundation provides a four-year EnMed graduate scholarship to selected E2EnMed Brown Scholars.
Brown Scholars gain a like-minded community of top students, and incoming freshmen are paired with an upperclassman mentor who serves as a leadership, service, excellence, and academic success role model to provide guidance and advice.
Recipients display high academic achievement, community service, leadership, and communication skills, and further develop their leadership and people skills through the Brown Scholar Program. The average Brown Scholar GPA since inception is 3.87, and approximately 40% of Brown Scholars have earned a 4.0 GPA upon graduation. Many have received the highest accolades and awards during their university experience, including:
